Day at the Races

Day at the Races weekend is full of opportunities to show off your racing abilities. We have many races to sign up for during the day which may have nothing to do with car racing at all!  Sign up for kayak races, and BMX races.  Some of the other races are the Sack Race, Dizzy Bat Race, Spud Race, Leap Frog, Crab Walk, Big Foot, 3 Legged Race, Wheel Barrow, Mit Fits and Sponge Race. There were a lot of participants in the rec field races and it was great to see everyone outside enjoying the day and getting some fresh air and exercise. There were 27 people who raced their car on the Tamiya race track out front. Thank you to those who help each year husking the 60 dozen ears of corn for the corn boil. The corn is always delicious and enjoyed by all. We also show the Bristol Race Saturday night as well as an outdoor movie. We look forward to another day at the races during the weekend of August 19-21, 2011.
