Day at the Races

to Benefit RACC

Racers Against Childhood Cancer

This year our NASCAR theme will be changing its name to

Day at the Races. We will be having several races to sign up for during the day which may have nothing to do with car racing at all! Tiff will be busy planning the new ideas. You will need to camp to see what was added. We will still have the Bristol race on TV and slot car races in the waterwheel shed, but we will be adding more activities. Last year JoJo the clown was here with her Ladybug car making balloon creations with the proceeds going to GBF. Thank you to everyone who came to help husk the sixty dozen ears of corn.  Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped cook and serve the corn.

Join us this year as we will be having many races to choose from with our new theme name Day at the Races on August 29th.

Many campers volunteer to help shuck corn for the corn roast.  It goes pretty quick with 20+ people.

Thank you to Don, John and Ray for cooking the corn.

It was fantastic.

New for 2009!

Day at the Races to benefit Racers Against

Childhood Cancer (RACC)!

Indian Trails is expanding the racing excitement in 2009 with additional racing opportunities. Racers Against Childhood Cancer is thrilled to partner with Indian Trails Campground for A Day At the Races. During the weekend of August 28th - 30th 2009 RACC along with Indian Trails campground will promote a 5K Run, a 2K fun run/walk, a Sprint distance Duathlon(run/bike/run) and a Kids Duathlon. More information will be available after April 1st on the official RACC web site, www.raccfund.org. RACC’s mission is to use the passion and competitive spirit of Racers to raise money for research and the fight to defeat childhood cancer.  It is this passion and selflessness that RACC seeks to leverage toward the fight against pediatric cancer. Racers understand and support the ‘good fight’ - by both their nature and training. With this vision, passion, and experience, RACC and all its supporters set out on the mission of making childhood cancer a condition that becomes just a distant memory to its survivors. Because everyone should have the opportunity to say: WE RACE. For Kids Who CAN’T.
